I’ve always believed that what our dogs eat plays a huge role in their overall health, and that’s why I’m passionate about creating personalized, plant-based nutrition plans that truly make a difference. Whether you’re looking to prevent disease, improve your dog’s skin and coat, or simply help them live their best life, I’m here to help you make that transformation.
Claire The Dog Nutritionist
With a solid foundation as a CMA-registered canine nutritionist, I have dedicated my career to improving the health and longevity of dogs through scientifically-backed, fresh nutrition.
I’m a UK-trained nutritionist with a passion for plant-based diets, having worked with dogs from 65+ countries to transform their health.
Over the years, I’ve helped hundreds of dog parents make informed decisions about their pets' nutrition, using my expertise in anti-inflammatory, plant-based nutrition to create personalised diet plans that support dogs with chronic conditions, allergies, and overall wellness.
I’ve seen firsthand how shifting to fresh, real food can improve dogs' quality of life, and I am committed to spreading this knowledge across the globe.
As a speaker and educator, I’ve shared my insights on stages at conferences, summits, and festivals worldwide, advocating for a more ethical and sustainable approach to pet nutrition. My mission is to help dogs thrive by ensuring they get the nutrients they need for a healthy, happy life.

When I'm not helping dogs, I love to travel the world, learn about new cultures, and spend time at home with my family, which includes a dog, a horse, a bunny, and seven cats. I also try to spend as much time in nature as possible. I’m an advocate for eco-friendly living, which is why I started Yuska Company, offering sustainable dog collars made from pineapple waste.
My background
I grew up in the beautiful region of Alsace, France, surrounded by nature and animals. After spending 25 years mostly vegetarian, I became fully vegan four years ago, inspired by my sister and my experiences working in the pet industry, where I saw the harm being done to animals. In 2021, my family dog Blacky was diagnosed with bone cancer. We switched his diet to a plant-based, homemade one, and were amazed when his cancer reversed and he lived for two and a half more years. This experience inspired me to pursue a career in canine nutrition, where I graduated as a CMA-registered canine nutritionist in 2022.Since then, I’ve dedicated my life to promoting plant-based diets for dogs. I founded Claire The Dog Nutritionist, an educational company, and have since educated thousands of dog parents in 65 countries. Now, I travel globally, sharing the benefits of plant-based nutrition at conferences and events to help more dogs live healthier lives.
An unique approach
My approach is based on science-backed, whole-food nutrition, with a special focus on plant-based diets that reduce inflammation and prevent chronic disease in dogs. I believe that food should not just sustain life, but enhance it.
I believe that plant-based diets not only offer ethical and sustainable choices, but they can also provide dogs with the nutrients they need to thrive. I work closely with each client to ensure that every dog’s nutritional needs are met, using a holistic approach that supports their health from the inside out, always baked-up by strong scientific evidence.
Why canine nutrition?
In early 2021, our beloved dog Blacky was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a bone cancer. We were heartbroken, but after his surgery to remove the primary tumor, we decided not to pursue further conventional treatment. We felt it would only cause more harm and damage to his health.
Instead, we made a bold choice: we switched Blacky’s diet from meat-based kibble to a homemade plant-based diet. What happened next was nothing short of miraculous.
Not only did his cancer reverse, but he also lived for two and a half more years, and the progression of his kidney disease slowed down significantly. It was a profound experience that changed my life and my perspective on dog nutrition.
The success we saw with Blacky fuelled my passion for canine nutrition and sparked my journey to become a nutritionist. I thought to myself, if a cancer can be reversed with food, what else can we heal with a plant-based diet?
In 2021, I began an online training in canine nutrition and graduated with distinction in March 2022 and get registered with the prestigious CMA, Complementary Medical Association.
Since then, I’ve delved deep into studying the science behind canine health, reading, analysing and synthesising over 1,000 scientific studies on topics like the gut microbiome, disease development, and how diet influences health and longevity in dogs.
Every step of the way, I’ve been motivated by the belief that the right food can transform a dog’s health, just as it did for Blacky.
